Today many people use quick and simple capsule or instant coffee getting out of the traditional method of brewing coffee. Since it is easy to make instant coffee by just stirring coffee in hot water, most people use the coffee package to stir coffee without using a spoon or coffee stick. In this case, however, it could be unsanitary because the package itself is exposed to various exterior contaminants. This design can easily solve the problem by turning the package inside out. Because the inside of the package has no contaminants in contrast with the outside which is exposed to dust and various germs, it will be much more sanitary than using its outside as still being able to drink coffee without additional tools. After pouring the coffee in a cup by cutting the cutting line on top of the product, you can turn the package inside out by putting your finger in the bottom part(making space to put finger inside of the package) and then pushing the finger in towards the cut part. By applying the image of a finger to the package design, everybody can easily use it as inducing user's intuitive thinking to put their finger in the part. The image of laborer(workers who produce coffee beans in Africa)'s finger shows that this coffee is the fair-trade product as delivering the message that we should rethink about the meaning of the labor's cost. The objectives of this design are to support the alienated and poor producers to get power and to suggest simple alternatives to the existing problems. |
